Here’s Doug with Tim Gaudion from Guernsey Skateparks, meeting to discuss next steps (or should we say tricks?) in the exciting transformation of the facilities at the Jubilee Skatepark.

Doug is leading the charge on this project, and has already drafted preliminary plans and submitted pre-application planning enquiries.

We love getting involved with crucial community projects like this, helping Guernsey reach its full potential for islanders of all ages and interests. Mainstream team sports inevitably steal a lot of the local limelight, which makes us all the more eager to support inclusive, alternative sporting venues like this one. And of course, we love a bit of street art!

As well as expanding and improving the park itself, the scheme aims to provide a new skate hut complete with tuck shop, servery, chill-out space and essential storage, plus a new spectators’ terrace.
