This week, Caritas Guernsey installed two emergency sleeping pods in the car park at the Vale Douzaine on Maraitaine Road.

The pods were built by Amazing Grace Spaces and funded by Northern Trust.

Caritas noted that the installation of these pods marks “a significant step towards offering safety, dignity, and warmth to those who need it most.”

Earlier this year, we assisted Caritas with the planning process, putting together the required documentation and submitting the planning application on behalf of the charity.

We’re pleased to see the pods in place and proud to have played a small part in making this vital resource a reality.
