This considered, high-quality, sustainable design responds to the topography of the clifftop site
Horizontal planes take advantage of the panoramic sea views while the spine wall and gentle terracing anchors the building into the cliffscape, carefully concealing it from public view.
We secured planning permission for this substantial clifftop home in just seven weeks. Detailed site analysis and close consultation with our clients to develop their comprehensive brief helped establish the foundations of the project. With this knowledge in hand, we developed our design to maximise the potential of the site, which benefits from fantastic views out to sea and across the south-coast cliffs. The extensive home takes a lateral form, extending across the site to capture views throughout the day while, following the topography of the cliff, it is also protected.
We’re excited to continue working with our client to explore the design in more detail, progressing towards assembling the interior design and technical drawing packages.
