Elegant headquarters for a vital local charity
Viewed through a timber screen, evoking Victorian shopfronts and cosy train carriages, the warm and welcoming space contrasts with the harsh light and noise of the supermarket – the weary traveller enticed by the glowing hearth.
The premises serve three functions. The office provides a secluded base from which dedicated volunteers can manage and organise the charity’s services. A welcoming, approachable, public-facing space provides easily accessible information and interaction, as well as somewhere to spend quiet time with a book or some colouring. Finally, a separate, discreet meeting space affords a quiet, secluded setting for private or sensitive consultations.
All of these spaces have been designed to block out the bustle and noise of the shop floor, ensuring quiet, privacy and security.
