Rosso, Guernsey’s best-loved pizza restaurant
Rosso occupies a first-floor position overlooking the North Esplanade, the harbour and beyond.
The scheme modifies the relationship between the building and the esplanade. New windows fold back flat onto the internal face of the facade, fully disappearing when open, transforming the foremost portion of the restaurant into a covered outside space, enhancing the connection to the seafront beyond.
Fittings, services and ironmongery are introduced overtly, in a manner which reflects the industrial heritage of the former warehouse, and unique individual pieces of furniture were specifically commissioned for the space.
